TRADING TIP:

When buying something we often compare prices and when writting a check it is usually an easy thing to do.  But when making a purchase and using trade to make the payment you should do a little more math.  Every one in business has fixed expenses that do not chance and variable costs or simply the cost of your product.  So if you something for $1.00 and your product/service cost is $0.30 your cash out of pocket is 30% of what you spend.  An example of this is an item costing you $400 cash from a non BTE Member and a BTE Member selling a similar product for $700 BTE.  Before making the purchase you should compare why the difference in price and quality.  But just cash it would be a cash $400 verse cash of $210 (30% of $700 what your product cost you) your out of pocket cash for your product.  As you can see the cash spent out of pocket between paying with barter and writing a check is huge.  If you have any questions about how you save cash by bartering or how use the above formula when making purchases contact your BTE Broker.
